Describe your activity on the server:
Despite my schedule as a full-time student, I have a lot of time on my hands to log on SRP. My activity is dependent on the day, where I can class on Tuesdays and Thursday, with occasional classes on Mondays. My monday and tuesday classes basically keep me out all day, BUT when I’m home, I spend most of the time until I go to bed on SRP or at least available to log on. The other days that I don’t have class, I am free all day unless I have other plans, which isn’t all that often. Unless I have an unholy amount of assignments or stuck studying, I’m online and always available on discord.

My activity on the server is spent between my KPD and Shopkeeper profiles to meet their quotas and such, as well as my various non-faction profiles where I roleplay whenever I can. Aside from that, I’m online as a staff member doing all those duties, writing server lore, making models for the server, or roleplaying! Even though I have a large collection of IC and OOC roles on the server, I always stay committed to the factions I am a part of, and will be able to maintain steady activity in this faction, and the ones I am already a part of.

Are you aware that inactivity can result in removal from the council?:
Yes, I am fully aware.

TRIVIA QUESTIONS

What is the student council and what do they do?:

The student council is a group of students selected to keep the school safe. The council works together to enforce the school rules, represent what the student body wants, and keep the school entertaining and fun. Whether it's by planning events or being the voice that reaches SLT, they always have the best thoughts in mind when it comes to the student body. As for enforcing the rules, they work with faculty and SLT in giving out detentions, or escalate repeat offenders to SLT’s attention through reports or physically seeking out SLT when they are around. Councillors also have a buddy system where they help new players adjust to the server and get accustomed to how the school works.

What motivated you to apply for council? (e.g. Interests, friends, etc.):
Council was a faction that was always interesting to me and something I wanted to eventually try my hat in. I have been a part of basically all aspects of the server, factionwise, and have even taken small parts in helping with school events as SLT, which I have been missing since leaving the role. What mainly held me from applying for council is my attachment to sports teams, which held down my student characters. After leaving my most recent team, my interest with council was sparked again. I’ve heard good things from friends who were a part of the faction and it honestly sounds really fun to be a part of! I also really want to continue student roleplay, which is easier to do in a community.

Are you aware that you’ll be having to use your creativity and teamwork ethic within the student council? (e.g. Coming up and helping with events):
I am aware that I will need to use my creativity and teamwork ethic within the student council. I have plenty of that to go around! I’m ready to plan events that can make their way into lore!

Can you list the roles in the council along with other roles that might be important to the council?:
Council Roles
President: The highest ranking member of the student council. There is one president for both highschool and college, and they work together to represent the student council. This position focuses on planning events, listening to any issues between councillors, and make sure the other councillors do their jobs properly.

Vice-President: The second highest ranking member of the student council. Their job is to help the president make decisions, assist in planning when needed, or step in for the president when they aren’t around. Similar to the president, there are two vice-presidents, one for both highschool and college.

Councillors: The rest of the student council. These students are tasked with making sure the school is running smoothly, make sure all the school rules are being followed, and keeping in touch with faculty when necessary. Councillors can also hand out detentions to students who are breaking the rules that require that punishment. These are tasks that all in council have to do. Additionally, they have to help with events and everything else.

Faculty
SLT: The big bosses of the school. Whenever students needs to be suspended or expelled for constantly causing trouble, these are the people to seek out. There are a total of 9 members of SLT, with one of the Deans being the lead of the Council faction.

Teachers/Professors: The educators of the school. When they are not hosting classes, they are the adults that help maintain the rules and keep students in check with their authority.

Employees: These are the school employees who are at a set station, aside from the Caretakers. Injured students go to the nurses, lost students can be taken care of by the receptionist, any students needing help solving non-physical issues can see a counselor. If there is an intercom that needs to be made, these are who to look for first.

IC SECTION
SCENARIOS

While students gather for a school assembly, one student behaves disruptively, causing a disturbance. How would you manage the situation to restore order effectively while minimizing any additional disruptions to the assembly?

“The first thing that comes to mind is to move them away from the assembly to stop the disruption. They’re definitely doing this just for attention, so giving them the opportunity to continue their antics is a nono. To start, I would calmly walk up to them and ask them to come with me and lead them away to speak with them one on one. After making distance, I would them ask what that was about and talk to them as best as I could the consequences that they could face if they continued. Its not like they could complain that they didn’t hear my warnings, since they arent in the crowded auditorium. If its clear they will continue to be disruptive, I would get some faculty help to keep them from causing issues.”

A student refuses to take their mask off after you’ve brought up detention and they’ve run away! What do you do?

“If a student ran off after refusing to take off their mask, I would radio for any assistance. Just to keep an eye out for the person in the mask and to make sure they get it off. After I make other councillors or faculty aware of the rules being broken, I would go about patrolling the halls more. Whether I find them again is up to luck at that point. There is no point in a wild goose chase where they’re probably long gone by the time I talk over the radio. Its not like faculty could call them to the front desk if they didn’t take off a mask. But if they get caught and end up taking the mask off, they can get detention or even a stern talk with SLT.“

A teacher observes concerning behavior from a student, including the creation of disturbing artwork and verbal threats toward peers. How would you collaborate with the teacher to evaluate the situation and intervene appropriately to address potential safety concerns?

“Assuming I was in the class or around the situation that it happened and personally witnessed it all happening myself, I would consider what we COULD realistically do. The disturbing artwork may be something concerning that may be happening outside of school, and they’re lashing out. And dealing with that is something I am not trained in. BUT, there are people that are! The counselors! I would ask if there are any working, and pray that there is one on shift to be able to try to help them out. As wrong as their actions may be, they are still people that may just be looking for help.”

“If there was no counselors around, then we’d have to step up and talk to them. Being as friendly as possible, I would try to talk to them about their behavior. Putting things into perspective and how they may get into trouble, get detentions, or even suspended if their behavior went too far. Not as a threat, but trying to bring light to the situation. Then talk about how they are disrupting the other students around who are just trying to learn. If they don’t try to stop or realize the weight of their actions, then they may just need to face the music and go through with a detention or a meeting with SLT, who would be more suited to deal with a trouble student.”

A group of students asks for your permission to stage a protest on school grounds. Would you allow them to protest? If so, how do you ensure that the protest does not disrupt the school environment while upholding their freedom of expression?

"As much as a friendly protest could do good for the school and student body, its not my place to give them permission to do that. I would tell them to come up with a document with what they are protesting, what they would need for the protest, be it supplies, stands, microphones, how long they are planning it for, all that jazz. Then I would direct them to bring it to SLT attention to get their permission to host it during a certain school period with all they needed, with proper supervision to make sure they don’t run wild.”

“Now, if they WERE given permission, I would suggest they host the protest somewhere that doesn’t disrupt the flow of classes or other events being held. The auditorium is a great place to get support and show off their ideas, without disrupting classes or the majority of team practices. Sorry basketball! Then all thats left is watching and making sure it doesn’t turn into a riot… Good luck to us!”

A teacher/receptionist has told you that you are doing something that goes against what you were trained by your higher-ups. How would you react to this?

“Well, I’m not going to fault them, and maybe I didn’t catch what I was doing wrong. So, we can talk things through so I know what I did and I won’t do it again! Either that, or we can talk things through and I can correct them on how what I did was correct. One of us is wrong or misinformed! No need to start up an argument with authority, and we can clear up either a miscommunication or an error on my part. I can take responsibility for what I did and learn from my mistakes. It would one HUNDRED percent be awkward, but thats on me if I did something wrong.”

Please provide at least one detailed event that the council can use as a future event to showcase your creativity! (Must be 300 words or more for one event):

Folklore Fair!
“We alllll know all the ghost stories that circulate the island. Spirit interactions, spooky stories and everything in between! We even have a HAUNTED CLASSROOM that has its history. Why not shine more light on all these occasions and situations, while bringing everyone together to listen to Karakura’s history? We have had classes that taught folk stories. These don’t even have to be about ghosts either! There are so many stories that can get attention brought to them. Anyways… How it would go!"

"There are multiple stations for the different districts of the town. It can happen in the gymnasium like other school events and branch outside on the track. There will be a part with a dedicated beach set, one with a forest, sewers, and everywhere that has important history behind them. Participating council members or faculty can get costumes to match the location they’re in and tell different stories that originate from the place they are representing. When they have a crowd forming, they can even get the audience to tell their own stories if they have any!"

"It can even be a fair that recommends costumes fitting of folk stories, popular or unknown, and there can be a costume vote! This can be hosted at the peak of the event, where all the students can vote. Butttt, unlike other events where theres just a prize, we can make something fun pop up right as they get their prizes. Our lovelyyy boss and SLT can come out dressed up as a spooky ghost to scare the audience and the winners. The ambience and all the stories will make many people believe something is happening, and BOOM! Everyones screaming until they realize what happened!"

"Now for what will be needed, a lot of props. Trees, sand, blowup builds like sewers, which could even be a maze for people to have fun and get to the other side of! Food stands, maybe some snacks that are shaped like ghosts or something! The thing that will be the most to prepare are the stories, but I can help get those for everyone. I know a lotttt of stories about this place! I’m lowkeyyy a book nerd.”

Personal Information
(in character)

Name:

Athos Noir

Gender:
Genderfluid
Age:
19 Years Old
Phone number:
030-798-1266

How would you describe your personality?:
“This is a verryyyy rought question, because I’m just.. Me! I’m like most other people. I have my on and off days, but I like to look at myself as someone who is quiet until I get comfortable. I’m outgoing when I need to be, and when I don’t, I watch and listen. I can’t stand when people are being picked on and am outspoken when I am against something. Sometimes I may be rought, but I dooo carry guilt and apologize if I need to after some time to collect my thoughts. Definitely an overthinker over here. I could’ve up-played my better qualities, but honesty is the best policy.”

Appearance/attire (Please provide a picture):
Athos is fairly complex. They are one that’s appearance lacks words to describe. Their head is adorned by streaks of chestnut, freely flowing like waves to their lower back. Hazel eyes that shine like stars, and in certain lighting, hints of gold reveal themselves from the depths of their gaze. Their expression is usually neutral or reserved, with either their attention shifting to their surroundings, or tunnel visioned on something.. There was no in between.

Attire is a little bit of a wardrobe malfunction. For the longest time, they wore team outfits, so losing that part of their wardrobe has been roughhhh.. So now, they wear neutral colors! Comfortable clothes that allow them to freely express themself! Only time will tell how their wardrobe will change.

What separates you from other applicants seeking your position?:
“I don’t like this question, since it comes off as me putting people down to lift myself up. I’m not going to tear down the others, since they may have their own amazing qualities, but I’ve been a part of a team that was as close as a family. I know how to foster an environment like that, bringing people together. I trust that council is already that way, but I can emphasize that, and work to bring the student body together to be more united. Not to mention being a part of a team made me learn how to make the best out of a bad position. Never give up, even if you’re down 20 points to 5! Suffice to say, I will never give up. I won’t give up on the team, I won’t give up on the students I want to represent, and I won’t give up on my desire for holding this position.”

Why do you want this position?:
“Why I want to be a councillor? I want to help people branch out and become a part of our community. When I first moved to Karakura, I was definitely a shut-in. I rarely left my room, and it was mainly because I didn’t know how to blend into a new community. I was scared and alone for some time before I had a hand extended to me. The one person who brought me out of my shell introduced me to her friends, and one of those friends helped me and that led to me joining the highschool volleyball team! Being a part of the team brought me out of that shell more and made me feel like myself again. That friend is actually one of the people I’m applying with!

Thats a lot of preface, but I needed to paint a picture. I want to be the hand that pulls others up. Bring them into the spotlight to let them shine. I’ve seen the student council bring new students and guide them around the school, and its something that really inspired me. I may still be a nervous person, but if I can do good for even one more person, then I know I made a good impact. And I plan on making that impact on as many people as I can. Call me ambitious if you want. This is a promise to myself.”

What interests you the most about student council?:
“The ability to interact with the student body in a positive way. Yeah, teams makes you popular if you get involved enough, but you don’t have much real sway. You are known in cliques and thats that. Council on the otherhand has more to give. Making suggestions of changes for the school, planning and hosting events for everyone. That is where I want to be. Even if its just behind the scenes making the props or setting up the stage. I have other reasons, but that was already gone over before, so I won’t repeat myself if I don’t need to. I just want to make this school a nicer, friendlier place and the student council is the best place to do that!”

What could you contribute to make the school a safe and fun environment?:
“I will contribute all my dedication to the school of course! I’ve been a part of a team before, so I know how to listen to advice and what I’m told, I know how to adapt to situations, and how to be a team player. The last one is kind of a given BUTTT anyways.. Advice and orders will guide me on how to carry out my duties, which by extension are going to make the school safer. Adapting to situations as well, since I know how to problem solve and come up with solutions whenever they’re needed. Being a team player? We’re all a team to make the school a better place. I am also able to come up with fun different ideas for events we can host, but I’m gatekeeping them so I have another card to play later on. Your choice!”
