Describe your activity and roleplay experience on the server:

As of recently I have been super active as I’m waiting for my job to open up to the public! I am currently on most the day through out all 7 days of the week, and once my schedule starts filling up, I still plan to be active during my free time and before or after work! I am currently on the College Dodgeball team so my time as has been really focused on the sport but I’m ready to jump back into another faction, especially a faction I have enjoyed in the past. I can never seem to escape the school faction as it has been always so enjoyable to be apart of!

In your own words, why do you think professors are important to SchoolRP?

Professors are essential to the server because of how they create structure, interaction, and even immersion within the school faction environment. Since the majority of players are students, professors are needed to guide those interactions with those who choose to graduate from highschool to college and give those college students meaningful opportunities to engage and develop roleplay situations. The professor role offers a unique roleplaying experience that adds all kinds of depth and variety to the community.

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive, you may face demotion or removal from the faction?

I am fully aware and acknowledge that upon unreasonable inactivity along with no proper reasoning or inactivity log, I will be demoted and removed completely from the faction!

Do you understand if your application is accepted, you may have to undergo professor training?:

I fully understand and well aware that upon approval, if approved, I will undergo training as a new professor.

Describe the character: How do they look and act? What makes them unique and different? What are their plans for the future? Optionally, what is their past?

London as a very distinctive appearance, easily to point out in a crowd with split-dyed red and black hair and heterochromia. His left eye blue, while his right eye brown. He carries himself with a calm yet controlled presence that seemed to reflect a stoic and serious nature. London was often viewed as rational and composed which would make him feel unapproachable. However, beneath that stone face was someone who deeply cared for those around him and showed his concern through actions over words.

A few years ago, London had arrived in Karakura, transferring over his career as a professor from England, to Karakura, Japan. London had joined the team a month before his best friend Aleksander Kaizen, and the two were an unbeatable duo. Unfortunately, during his career in Karakura, he had gotten married and it had come to an end which caused London to leave the country abruptly, returning home to reflect and rebuild his life while searching for something new. A new beginning, a new direction in life, anything really. During that time of searching, London developed a deep interest in entomology. With this newfound purpose, London has returned to Karakura, now aiming to share his knowledge and inspire students through his teachings once again. London was formally a Physical Education professor but has since transitioned into Entomology, marking a significant shift in both his personal journey and his career.

What is their outlook on students and their co-workers?

London has a very unique outlook when it comes to students vs his co-workers. London views his students as capable but unrefined who must choose to better themselves rather then be pushed. London teaches with structure and discipline, offering guidance only when he sees that it can be of great yet real impact on the student, making sure they will benefit from it in any way.

When it comes to his co-workers, London can be viewed as distant but respectful. He doesn’t seek connection, yet he respects those who take their roles very seriously and proves himself through quiet reliability rather than words. London remains professional and observant and values reliability and mutual respect above all. London prefers to avoid all sorts of unnecessary conflict or drama without being dismissive. London overtime can develop a quiet trust in those who prove themselves, though this is rarely expressed openly. He does look out for his fellow colleagues in subtle ways, such as offering help, advice, or involvement when it truly matters.
What is their motivation for becoming a professor?:

Like mentioned before, London was a professor a few years ago not just to teach, but to fulfill a purpose in his life. Feel like he was important to in the world. After the collapse of his marriage and his sudden departure from Karakura, he was left to find a new direction in life and a new sense of stability. For a long time, he truly struggled with this, to find something that felt meaningful again. Discovering the world of entomology gave him that purpose, that sense of steady grounding and this fascinated him and allowed London to rebuild himself at his own pace.

Returning as a professor allows London to channel that passion he once had into something more than just a personal interest. By teaching the new age of college students, he’s able to guide them, encourage their growth, and provide structure he once lacked. It’s his way of moving forward in life, not by forgetting his past, but reshaping it into something with purpose once again. While doing all of this, he still ensures others to not feel lost like he once did.

Roleplay Scenarios

A jock is ignoring your lesson and throwing paper balls at another student, what would your character do?

London would pause the lesson, rather than raise his voice, allowing an awkward silence to fill the room and draw attention to the disruption. London addresses the student directly and remain calm, making it clear that the behavior that the jock is portraying is absolutely unacceptable without escalating the situation. Rather than embarrassing the jock, he would redirect their attention back to the lesson and set clear expectations moving forward. If the behavior continued, London would use a more firm approach separating the student from the distraction and assigning a consequence that reinforces discipline.

A student doesn’t seem to understand the material, yet hasn’t requested help, what would your character do?

London would take note of the students' situation and instead of calling them out publicly, he would wait until class is over or after his lesson to offer guidance in a more private setting. Rather then simply giving them answers, he would walk them through the material at the students preferred pace, encouraging them to think critically and build a proper understanding. London believes students should take the initiative, but he can also understand that not everyone is comfortable doing so or asking for help. In those certain cases, he steps in quietly to ensure that the student doesn't fall behind.

When in the faculty lounge, how does your character act?

London is a quiet yet controlled individual in the faculty lounge, often found sitting off to the side with a warm cup of coffee which he prefers over being the center of conversation. London observes others more than engaging with them. He’s always listening carefully and only contributing when he has something meaningful to add. While this may make him come across as distant, he is not the dismissive type and his responses are always calm, direct, and thoughtful when approached.

London typically avoids any unnecessary small talk, finding it as a sort of headache, preferring conversations that have purpose to them, whether it’s discussing work or offering insights to class ideas and so on. Despite his reserved nature, London is pretty reliable. He pays attention to his colleagues around him and steps in when it’s absolutely needed or offering guidance and support in subtle ways.

Provide at least 2 interactive class ideas and one field trip idea related to your subject

Interactive Class Idea #1. “Give a bug a Home”

- Students can choose to work collaboratively with a group or by themselves for this project. - Each student or group will be given the chance to choose a bug out of the following to make a micro habitat for: Beetles, spiders, ants, isopods, etc.
- Students must do a research project on the chosen bug and what they need in order to survive the habitat they will be building. This includes humidity, temperature, and terrain of their natural habitat. Along with learning about their diets
- Students must also learn about their behaviors, does the chosen bug burrow? Do they like to climb? Are they nocturnal? And so on.
- After doing all the research, they will begin building and assembling their acrylic enclosures with the provided materials, which will be found from the school's very own courtyard.
Interactive Element: Once built, the students will present their enclosures and explain the following: Why they chose each component, how it supports the insect's survival, and what would happen if something went missing.
Optional Twist: Midway through, I could potentially introduce a problem.
  • Mold outbreak
  • Enclosure is too dry
The insect refuses to eat
Students will be required to figure out the problem and adjust their enclosure accordingly.
Learning outcome: Students are demonstrating and understanding the environmental needs of an insect in order to live and the relationship between species and habitat.

Interactive Class Idea #2: “Who Did it? Insect Investigation"

- In this interactive class, students take part in a hands-on ‘insect investigation,’ where they act as researchers studying an unknown species of insect.
- The class begins with London introducing a mystery invertebrate and students will be asked to observe details such as physical traits, behavior, and habitat clues.
- Students will be broken off into groups to form a hypotheses about what this insect could be. They will use the clues on where the creature lives, whether its dangerous, and what role it plays in its very own ecosystem.
- London will guide the students by asking questions, offering hints, and challenging incorrect assumptions to encourage the students critical thinking.
- As the students progress in the investigation, new information can be introduced such as where the insect was found or if it was active during a certain time of day or night. This allows students to adjust their conclusions and keeps the class encouraged with participating.
- Towards the end of the lesson, students will present what they have concluded and why.
- Once all students have presented, London will reward those who either got it correct, or if no one got it correct then those who were relatively close will receive a reward.

Field Trip idea: “Forest Ecosystem Expedition”

- London takes his class to the Ochiba Forest where students act like field researchers.
- The students will be split up into groups and be assigned a different task from other groups, such as locating specific insects, documenting habitats, or observing behavior.
- During this field trip, London introduces challenges to each group, identifying whether an insect is beneficial or a possible threat. Possibly how this insect contributes to the ecosystem.
- Students can ‘collect’ their findings through descriptions, sketches, or even notes.
- Unexpected scenarios will occur such as discovering an invasive species, a disrupted habitat, or a rare insect sighting which will prompt the students to react and problem solve.
- Towards the end of the trip, everyone will regroup and present what they found , turning this field trip into both an exploration and a learning experience.
