Describe your activity on the server:
My activity on the server I would describe as well-off. During the week I am usually on 5 - 6 days, or depending on my work supply, I may be online every day of the week. On working days I am online after school for 2 - 3 hours, or more depending on work, and during the weekend period I am online for a total of 4 - 5 hours. As a current reporter, I try to keep a steady activity so as to not impact my performance as a reporter, or the opportunity of more events while on SRP. When online, I will usually socialise with players, roleplay with friends, visit the hospital or shrine depending on those who are online, or if there is to be a flash event or a general event, I am confident I will try and be online to partake in it. I hope to carry the same quality of activity over to the Government faction upon acceptance.

APPLICATION INFORMATION

What position are you applying for?:

Governor.

What is your motivation for applying?:

Being a good friend of many members of the Government faction, knowing a lot about it and being told of many happenings, events, and fun times that they have, it has become a large motivation to my appliance. Also having one of my closest and longest lasting friends on SRP being a past governor has driven my motivation further, giving me an idea of what further enjoyment lies ahead in the government faction. It is also of motivation to know what types of events have been introduced in the government faction, and the types of characters played. Knowing that upon acceptance I would get to know these characters further has become a big motivation to me and has pushed my aspiration to succeed in application further. I find it motivating to also know I will be able to explore a faction that I am yet to be a member of, and discover all that it has to offer.

Do you have an understanding of Karakura’s laws & Constitutional rights?:

Yes, I have an understanding of Karakura's Laws & Constitutional Rights.

Are there any goals for you or your character with this role?:

For myself, my goal is to simply enjoy myself, improve my roleplay, exploring the governing faction more in depth, and make further friendships. Having watched multiple trials, befriended present and past governors, and seen how the entire town hall and governing faction itself works, I find I would enjoy working within it myself. Improving my roleplay had always been a large goal joining any faction. Finding a new aspect of role playing and exploring it, and finding out what I truly enjoy doing on SRP. Each time I join a faction, my roleplay skills become more honed, and I hope to improve them further in acceptance. I also have set myself the goal to discover more about the government faction, and truly improve my knowledge of government roleplay, which yes, I have a large amount of as one of my close friends is a past governor, but I want to broaden this further to have a wider and more diverse knowledge of SRP. And, finally, I set myself the goal to make further friendships, to grow a closer bond with the community. I don't want to limit myself to my small group of friends, but instead make more, and longer lasting ones that I hope to keep throughout my time on SRP and in the governing faction.

Now for my character, her goals consist of gaining more public recognition, gaining a better public view, achieving a good face for Karakura, and moving past her once troubled life. Zî Hán is a reserved character, not noticed by many, gaining her a rather low friendship group. Her goal is to gain public recognition as a governor, to further grow her social life and circle. Also bring a person of an odd personality, Zî Hán has set herself the goal of gaining a better public view. She wants to be seen as more than the peculiar reporter, she wants to make a name for herself, as many others would. As a third goal, Zî Hán has decided to set a good face for Karakura. Governor's are meant to be the face of Karakura, and provide a good impression for Karakura. Zî Hán wants to set such into action right upon acceptance, to gain a higher liking from the public eye. And finally, she has set herself the goal, to move forward from the past. Zî Hán having a troubled past, the character wants to move past such, and grow a better life for herself, away from her diminishing past.

In your own words, describe what the position you’re applying for does within the government:

A governor is someone who is often described as a face for Karakura. They are governing bodies, who represent the government of Karakura, and give it its well deserved name. Governors are often those who interact with those publicly, and are very much paperwork people, dealing with all lawful paperwork that is needed to be organized and sorted. They are also those who keep records of everyone in Karakura, editing those records each time someone new is welcomed into Karakura, or whenever someone vacates it. This task can be sorted by any member of the government faction (Lawyers, Judges etc) however it is most commonly tasked to Governors. Governors are also the creators and suggesters of law. Usually when a new law is to be introduced, it will pass by governors who will decide if it is fit to be withheld in Karakura. They are also speech givers, those who give out information to the public and are the ones to organize events, speeches, and different jobs. Governors are also assigned to be the governor of [Chosen sector], such as the governor of EMS, the governor of verified-businesses, and much more. They are commonly those who have a political past in law, and understand basic moral codes to assist them in their day to day duties. Governors are also commonly known for being very active with the public. They are often social people, who keep their heads held high and are highly respected by those in Karakura. They often hand out ID's, organize judicial matters, such as trials and lawsuits, and are very much those who organize and make the higher decision on certain topics. They are also the ones who may be candidates for governmental promotions, such as deputy-mayor and in some cases depending on the scenario even mayor.

Do you acknowledge that upon being accepted you can be subject to removal at any given time?:

Yes, I acknowledge this, and understand why I am of subjection to such rules.

Do you understand that you’re expected to be dedicated to your position upon being accepted?:

Yes I understand this, and plan to be fully dedicated to such upon acceptance.

Are you aware that any display of OOC bias toward anyone on the job will result in punishment?:

Yes I am aware of this, and promise to not show any sort of biased towards anyone while in the presence of work within the Government faction.

Have you read & agreed to follow the Government Faction rules?:

Yes, I have both read and agreed to such rules.

Are you able to attend weekly meetings & events?:

Yes, I will be able to attend weekly meetings and events.

Work experience:

'I started moving into work around the age 18, when I was still living in China. My first job was that of a bartender, which I picked up in my final years in high school. Living by myself at the time, it was what kept my life and my education afloat, being the main factor of making the ends meet throughout my time in college. I continued my work as a bartender until around the age of 22, when I was a year away from graduation. At this point in my life I had been offered the position to work as a toxicologist due to my high achievements academically. I took on the job, which gained me a wealthful living for sometime.'

'After graduation, I made the hasteful decision to move to Karakura. It was possibly a stupid idea for myself, as I had a good work line in China, but something was telling me it was a good idea. I moved to Japan at the age of 23, settling in a small apartment in Karakura, I looked for possible work, that was when I discovered Journalism as an option. At first, I started off as simply writing stories for myself, at the time working in a bar as a waitress, but around 25, I discovered that the position of a news reporter was open, taking the opportunity, I applied, and was accepted. From there on I was a reporter, making reports and improving upon my writing skills. The position of reporter was that of a good decision, earning my decent share of money, but something was missing for me. Age 28, I saw an announcement that governor applications were open, and taking the opportunity by hand, I swiftly began work on the application that may shape my future.'

Law and Justice is my strong suit, knowing and having all laws of Karakura memorised, I know how the law works and from this have learnt to give my side of the story to people. During my final two years of college, I shadowed a governor which has given me a greater education in the world of lore.'

What makes you a good candidate for this job?

A good candidate for any job needs dedication, and for myself, that comes easily. I am a dedicated person, when setting myself a task, even if of difficulty, I always persevere and continue to try, until I complete it. I am a perfectionist, and yes, this is sometimes a bad trait, but in a job such as a governing body, it is important that I show full perfection, to get the job done to its best form. I am also someone of a high intelligence. I pick things up easily, so any new task is easy for myself to complete, and being observant, I easily pick up key tricks that the more experienced may use, giving into my advantage in any work space. Also currently working as a reporter, I know what a good work ethic is, and how to treat my co-workers, giving me an upper hand compared to younger candidates without work experience. This also adds to my writing skills, being able to use more sophisticated language, for many duties that require a higher level of professionalism. I am also someone of high education, possessing a much more distinguished education than most, due to a high intelligence. And finally, I am someone with a broad experience of all political and general views, which in a job where the consideration of others is important, it is key to success.
