What is the student council and what do they do?:

The student council is responsible for planning certain events for the school! They also help faculty supervise students by assigning detentions and monitoring them to ensure they aren’t getting into fights.

What motivated you to apply for council? (e.g. Interests, friends, etc.):

There are several reasons I am motivated to apply for council! First off I have a couple of friends in the faction, which is the main reason I’m giving it another try. Another thing motivating me to give it a second try is how little I did last time. Having been on vacation last time I tried to join council, I did absolutely nothing and never really had the courage to ask anyone for training or items, so I eventually just left. My goal joining council a second time is honestly to make up for that and try to give the faction an honest try instead of just leaving without asking for anyone to help me.

Are you aware that you’ll be having to use your creativity and teamwork ethic within the student council? (e.g. Coming up and helping with events):

I am aware of that! And honestly, I really want to get to experience that this time and actually learn to work better with people, since it’s something I tend to struggle with. I think this could give me a good chance at doing that.

Can you list the roles in the council along with other roles that might be important to the council?:

The roles in council are
Regular member for both high school and college. They can plan events while also supervising the students!

Vice president. They help the president of council with reviewing applications for council while also watching over the other councillors to make sure they are doing things correctly!

President. They manage almost everything for council that the Dean isn’t in charge of. They also review applications and can talk to faculty over the radio to make sure everything is good for faculty, too.

The extra roles responsible for helping out with council are!
Trainers - A role given to certain councillors! They are able to train the new members on things they need to know in council!

Club Supervisors - Certain councillors can be approached by a club leader to help supervise a club. They ensure clubs aren’t violating any rules and are running smoothly.

SCENARIOS

While students gather for a school assembly, one student behaves disruptively, causing a disturbance. How would you manage the situation to restore order effectively while minimizing any additional disruptions to the assembly?

I would approach the student and whisper to them, asking what the problem is. If it’s a normal problem, I will attempt to solve it for them so that they stop causing a disturbance. However, if their problem is unreasonable or unable to be solved, I will tell them to relax, attempting to calm them down. If calming them down fails, then I will take them out of the assembly and give detention if it’s a serious enough matter.

A student refuses to take their mask off after you’ve brought up detention and they’ve run away! What do you do?

Radio to the other councillors that there is a student with a mask running around in the school and ran away from detention, telling them to get faculty. While one of them is doing that, I would also go look for faculty since chasing the student isn’t worth it, and could get me in trouble for grabbing them. Then the faculty can use the intercom to get them to come to the front desk! If they refuse from there, they will just end up getting suspended, which is out of my control!

A teacher observes concerning behavior from a student, including the creation of disturbing artwork and verbal threats toward peers. How would you collaborate with the teacher to evaluate the situation and intervene appropriately to address potential safety concerns?

I would tell the teacher that I could handle it and to keep teaching so that their class isn’t being disrupted by the student! However, if the student is behaving dangerously and using too many threats, I would help get the other students away from them and ask the teacher to give the student detention for threatening students and breaking classroom rules! If the student keeps being a problem, then it’s the teacher's choice if they wish to kick the student from their class or not. I would ensure the other students are safe.

A group of students asks for your permission to stage a protest on school grounds. Would you allow them to protest? If so, how do you ensure that the protest does not disrupt the school environment while upholding their freedom of expression?

If they wish to have a protest on school grounds, then I would make sure it’s for a valid reason and not something stupid! If it’s for something that’s actually a good reason to protest, I would follow the students, ensuring that they don’t cause any harm to other students, and if students wish to be left alone, then I would tell the protesters to leave them alone so that it’s not bothering anyone who doesn’t want to be bothered! Students should be allowed to protest, but if they are annoying others or using violence to protest, then I will make sure to give them valid warnings so they are aware of how to go about it respectfully. And faculty would be made aware of the protest as well, so that this isn’t getting in the way of anything!

A teacher/receptionist has told you that you are doing something that goes against what you were trained by your higher-ups. How would you react to this?

I would politely tell the faculty that I was instructed that it works a certain way by the higher-ups of council, and to tell me where exactly it states that what I’m doing is the wrong thing! I’m not perfect and can easily interpret things wrong, and would love to see the proof of what they are saying!

Please provide at least one detailed event that the council can use as a future event to showcase your creativity! (Must be 300 words or more for one event):

College and High School sports training.
A big percentage of the school is athletes! And all of the sports in the school are so full of possibilities, and why leave the people who don’t understand how they work out of it? A school-wide event could be each captain of a team having a booth set up by their court in the school. Teaching each student how to play their sport! These lessons can be about 10-20 minutes, with the captain giving the basic rules of how it works. And then after that, the members of their team could go against however many people took the lessons for that respective sport. For example, the captain of the basketball team would give a lesson to 10 students on all the rules of basketball and the different strategies they use during a game to win. The 10 students who learned can go up against however many of the basketball team members showed up! Sports with male and female teams can get together for it and have both teams combine into one for the competition, and have both captains teach a unique part of the sport! The students would also be divided into high school and college for this event as well, so that high school teams can teach high school students how it works, and then the college team could teach the college students. And then finally, after the first game is over, the college team can combine with the college students and go against the high school team to decide which team is the better teacher. For swim and track, these teams could either host a race on the track or in the pool for their competition, or also take part in the other lessons. And for cheer, they could teach the students how to cheer, and by the end, the students could try to cheer on their respective team during the games!

What a stupid question to ask me. I mean this respectfully, of course. You should ask someone else to describe my personality, like ask people I’ve met before. How could I give you an accurate description of myself? I’m going to obviously only highlight the best parts of myself. As a matter of fact, let me go get someone to write this for me so you see what I’m like.
Morgane Sylvianne? I’d say her personality is… annoying? But I guess that’s just because I’m her brother and not like I’m much better. She is super clingy to people. Should have seen how much she complained once I told her we were moving to Karakura for a while. Actively spent hours crying on the phone with her friend. Like, come on, get the [!] A scribbled-out word [!] over it. But yes, clingy. However, she does love the rules, which you do, sister. I hate the rules. The exact reason I dropped out. I don’t get how you people like it. Anyway, I’m going off on a tangent. I’ve told you about her personality, I’m done.

Because I'm perfect, duh! No, I'm just kidding. Well, about that being the reason. First off, I've got experience prior to this. I was a councillor for my old school, and while they were totally different from you all, the basic idea was still there of planning events and supervising students, so I'm pretty sure I can figure that out! And not to mention, I'm a super fun person to be around. I don't know if you remember reading this above, but I had friends! Most people here probably can't say that. It's tough being lonely, I get it, since I HAVE to be now that my brother forced me away from my old friends. Until I make new ones, I'm forced to talk to people, ugh! I thought I was past having to make new friends, but here we are. I'm just joking, I love meeting new people. If I didn't like it I wouldn't be getting involved in council at all! So yeah.

Why do you want this position?:

Because, as badly as my brother put it, I do love the rules. And since I had to leave ALL my friends behind! Absolutely ridiculous by the way. Should have just let me stay back, but whatever. I guess he is my guardian now, so I can’t disagree with his stupid choices. A new job can’t be THAT worth it. Anyway, I want to make new friends by being a councillor and make sure these new friends don’t get themselves into trouble.

What interests you the most about student council?:

The event planning is for sure my favorite! I love planning things and making sure each little detail is perfect! And there are so many possibilities for these events as well! It’s so cool, I’m so excited to plan them! My second favorite thing would be supervising a club… but I probably won’t be allowed to do that for a while.

What could you contribute to make the school a safe and fun environment?:

Well! I’ve got a lot of free time #unemployed! So I have plenty of time to plot different ways to make sure there are ways I can protect the students in need of it. Oh, and I was also a councillor in my old school, and while they went about things COMPLETELY differently, I’m excited to use the methods they had to make sure students here abide by the rules. They weren’t like harmful methods or anything, they were just ways to calm people down!
